The TTF 2025 London Bridgeathon Makes History- Bridging the Gap

19 Hearts, 12 Bridges, One Purpose!

On Sunday, 14th September 2025, the inaugural TTF London Bridgeathon Fundraiser took place in the heart of London, weaving together resilience, community, and purpose. Spearheaded by the UK members, in support of the Thompson & Troupe Foundation.

This sponsored walk was no ordinary stroll. The five-hour journey spanned 12 iconic bridges, from Tower Bridge to Chelsea Bridge and concluded at Battersea Seventh-day Adventist Church, rather than the originally planned Battersea Park, where shelter and fellowship welcomed the participants as the clouds gave way…

The event’s intergenerational spirit was truly remarkable, with participants ranging from ages six to over seventy years old. Each step was a testament to unity and shared commitment. The rain may have dampened the streets, but not the spirits. We were prepared, ponchos, raincoats, and one umbrella became symbols of perseverance as music and laughter echoed along the River Thames.

The drizzle couldn’t dampen the mood, which remained buoyant throughout. As the final bridge was crossed and the group gathered at Chelsea Bridge, the soulful rhythms of Bob Marley filled the air. “One Love” and “Three Little Birds” reminded everyone that, indeed, every little thing was going to be all right. Smiles, photos, hugs, and spontaneous dancing turned the finish line into a celebration of hope.

Why We Walked
The Bridgeathon was more than a test of endurance. It was a powerful statement to increase visibility, spread awareness of the need we are trying to fill, and share TTF’s mission to break the cycle of illiteracy and poverty. Additionally, this sponsored walk aimed to shine a light on the work TTF does to support vulnerable children in Jamaica.

Every step raised awareness and vital funds to provide support towards school fees, uniforms, supplies, and other essentials, giving the young generation the opportunity to thrive.

Still Time to Support
Though the walk is over, the mission continues. Donations are still open, and every contribution helps the Thompson & Troupe Foundation an inch closer to its goal. You can be a part of this uplifting journey by visiting the fundraising page and making a contribution.

We are deeply grateful to every participant, sponsor, and supporter who made this event possible. Your generosity and commitment continue to build “bridges” of hope where they are needed most.

Let’s keep the momentum going because bridges aren’t just built with steel and stone but with compassion, community, and the courage to walk together.
